A Connecticut man was arrested in connection with several thefts of student artwork and equipment from SUNY Purchase.
Purchase College police say Frank Flippone, of Fairfield, was arrested after a nearly yearlong investigation.
Police said one piece of artwork was stolen in May and two last December, and it happened during the college's Senior Thesis Exhibition.
Officials say they spent hours scouring through on- and off-campus video and working with area law enforcement agencies to identify the suspect's vehicle.
Flippone was arraigned in Harrison Town Court.
Police hope to be able to reunite students with artwork that has been recovered as a result of the arrest.
