California Credit Union (CCU) is encouraging teachers in Pasadena to apply for credit union’s spring Teacher Grant program. The program, which has been running since 2012, provides ten grants of $500 each to teachers looking to fund special projects and activities for their students.
The projects should have clearly defined objectives that are related to academic needs and must benefit a significant number of students. They should also demonstrate creativity and be innovative. Last year’s grant program funded a range of projects, such as building solar powered ovens, creating a mariachi music program, and starting a school radio station.
“We’re excited to once again offer special grants to support our teachers as they work to create innovative programming for their students,” said CCU President/CEO Steve O’Connell.
“We encourage any teacher who has a dream program to apply for a grant and look forward to funding these inspiring projects,” he added.
To apply for the program, teachers need to fill out the form on CCU’s website at ccu.com/teachergrant by February 28, 2023. Through the program, CCU has provided $165,000 worth of grants to benefit students in the Southern California area so far. For more information, visit CCU’s website or call (800) 500-6328.
