Feel the Love all February

There’s a lot to love about February. The powder is fresh, the skies are blue, and there is a lot to enjoy around Park City. Whether your idea of a memorable day includes a romantic dinner for two, or a rambunctious gathering of friends to cheer on your favorite team, we’ve got you covered.

Superbowl Fun

Get ready to cheer on the Chiefs and the Eagles. One of the best parts of Superbowl Sunday (which falls on February 12 this year) is the food! Family-owned Este Pizzeria serves up some exciting pies, but so much more than that! There are Buffalo chicken wings (and even a vegan version), mozzarella ssticks, calzones and, of course, specialty pizzas. Try the New York supreme (loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers and olives), traditional margherita pizza or The Ol’ Vortman (veggies, sausage and even meatballs).

Love smoky flavors? Wild Ember BBQ, a pop-up at the Snow Park Residences at the St. Regis Deer Valley, serves up tasty dishes made with ethically sourced local meats. The pop-up is the brainchild of Tupelo and RIME chef Matt Harris. At this time, meals are available for curbside pick-up (perfect for your Superbowl Sunday shindig) and private catering. Menu highlights include smoked Wagyu beef shoulder, a whole rack of Berkshire pork ribs and smoked chicken wings. There are also uniquely traditional sides like passionfruit baked beans, pimento cheddar baked beans and cabbage slaw, as well as s’mores cookies to finish with, and you are ready for a party! Order online in advance.

Star Bar will be hosting a Super Bowl buffet from kick-off to the top of the 4th quarter. There will be a chili bar (add your own combination of shredded cheese, jalapeños, pico de gallo, sour cream and more), chips and dips, mini corn dogs with honey dijon and potato salad. Food will be provided by Star Bar’s sister restaurant, Big Dipper. Add some specialty cocktails from star bar like the Starzerac and Viva Lima and you are good to go.

And Then, of Course, There’s Valentine’s Day…

Treat your beloved to an extra special night out this Valentine’s Day. Park City has some very romantic restaurants. Courchevel Bistro, a provincial French eatery presented by the exclusive Talisker Club, offers a low-key yet memorable setting in which to enjoy the finest locally-sourced cuisine. Sample seasonal menus include baked brie with marmalade, pheasant cassoulet and venison.

Powder Restaurant at the Waldorf Astoria will be presenting a decadent three-course prixe fixe Valentine’s Day dinner, beginning with a beef tartare and olive oil crostini, followed by West Coast oysters, burrata salad or duck confit ravioli. Unforgettable desserts will finish the meal: winter peach and rose semifredo or chocolate dome with lychee ,mousse. Costs is $125 per person, call 435-647-5566 or book on Open Table.

Romance your Valentine’s Day date at Powder Restaurant

If what you want is an experience, and not just a meal, make a reservation for The Mariposa At Deer Valley‘s decadent six-to-eight course tasting menus, with optional wine pairings. Elevated menu items include oysters Rockefeller, black cod and assorted mousses and sorbets. A vegan six-course tasting menu is also available.

A classic chop house experience is always a hit on Valentine’s Day. Ask about the alpenglobes at Butcher’s Chop House & Bar. The impressive menu showcases prime cuts of meat with your choice of two sides (garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and coconut rice are a few favorites to try), but there is also fresh seafood and vegetarian options like creamy mushroom risotto. And the perfect Valentine’s Day dessert: crème brûlée.

butchers

A perennial Park City favorite, often topping the best of lists, Riverhorse On Main features a trio of wild game with huckleberry compote, as well as Kobe beef and wild Alaskan salmon. The gorgeous décor and extensive wine cellar will wow your special someone.
