2024 4-Star ATH Martavious Collins Decommits from Alabama

Collins has visited Auburn twice since committing to the Crimson Tide last July.

4-star ATH Martavious Collins decommitted from the University of Alabama's 2024 recruiting class on Monday. Collins originally committed to Alabama on July 20.

Collins announced his decision via social media:

Standing at six feet, three inches and 241 pounds, Collins mostly played tight end and wide receiver at Rome High School, Georgia.

Collins is leaving a crowded tight end room, including Maryland transfer CJ Dippre, Robbie Ouzts and Amari Niblack.

Collins is ranked as the consensus 19th-best ATH in the nation and No. 27 prospect in the state of Georgia.

Prior to committing to Alabama, Collins received offers from 17 other schools, including LSU, Ohio State, Georgia and Tennessee. However, he has made two visits to Auburn since his July commitment, including one on Jan. 14, per 247 Sports.

Collins received a second offer from Auburn on Dec. 22. Most of Auburn's tight end room are seniors/redshirt seniors, including starter Rivaldo Fairweather, Luke Deal (redshirt), Tyler Fromm (redshirt), John Samuel Shenker (redshirt) and Brandon Frazier.

It is uncertain at this time where and when he will commit to play football in 2024.
