Report reveals likelihood Jeff Saturday is named Colts head coach

The thousands  of Indianapolis Colts fans hoping not to see Jeff Saturday as the team's full-time head coach may get their wish.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport told "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday that things are "leaning against" the former All-Pro center getting the permanent gig.

An online petition attempting to keep Saturday from becoming the team's next head coach was launched in late January and has over 4,100 signatures as of Monday afternoon. In a shocking movie, the Colts chose Saturday to replace Frank Reich in early November, despite having no previous college or NFL coaching experience.

Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star wrote late last month that the 47-year-old was one of four reported finalists so far for the head-coaching job, but "it's a growing list" and "could reach at least seven candidates and features former head coaches, Super Bowl-winning assistants and current coordinators." After winning his coaching debut in Week 10 against the Las Vegas Raiders, Saturday lost seven straight to close the season, and the Colts wrapped up the campaign at 4-12-1.
