The National Weather Service confirmed around 3:45 p.m. Friday that a tornado had touched down in Wapello County. NWS Des Moines retweeted a post by storm chaser Noah Emmert showing the tornado near Ottumwa. KCCI has received reports that the tornado damaged a home north of the town of about 25,000 people located about 90 miles southeast of Des Moines.
