Ben Affleck‘s meme-worthy reactions during Sunday night’s (Feb. 5) Grammy Awards have been making their mark on Twitter — and now, even The View has weighed in on the actor’s bored vibe at last night’s show.
Ana Navarro sparked the conversation about Affleck after saying her “little Latino heart was bursting with pride” over Carlos Vives and Bad Bunny’s appearances at the show. Affleck, who was accompanying his wife Jennifer Lopez to the award show, quickly took over the Hot Topics segment.
“Before I turn it over, I gotta tell you. We gotta talk a little about J.Lo and Ben Affleck,” Navarro said.
Even though Lopez appeared to be invested in each performer and acceptance speech, Navarro pointed out that the Deep Water star “looked a little miserable” at the Grammys. She even compared his emotionless stares every time the camera panned his way to her husband’s expressions at a Marc Anthony concert.
When Sunny Hostin chimed in that J.Lo “should go solo,” Navarro suggested that she take her mother, Lupe, to the next event instead.
“Lupe would’ve loved it. He was not feeling it, I don’t know,” Hostin continued, before Sara Haines speculated, “Maybe he was uncomfortable.”
Navarro then jumped in saying, “Maybe his shoes hurt,” while Hostin guessed, “Maybe he was hot or something,” to which Haines wondered, “Or gassy.”
Looking back to Hostin, Navarro assured her, “Ben is not having hot flashes.”
Aside from Affleck’s blatant misery, the ladies focused on a brighter spot from the Grammys, giving a special shout-outs to the 50 years of hip-hop celebration. Hostin said she danced “so much” watching the segment that she was “sweating profusely” in her living room.
Plus, Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioned the viral clip of Lizzo taking a swig of her flask moments before accepting her Grammy.
“She’s my girl,” Griffin said of the award-winning musician.
