Las Vegas police say a suspect accused of strangling a woman to death last month has been arrested in California.
Ronald Martin Hetzel Jr., 31, was taken into custody on Saturday, Feb. 4, and booked into a detention center in Victorville, California.
Detectives identified Hetzel as a suspect in the murder of Shirley Williams, 56.
Williams was found dead in the 4000 block of Edgeford Place, near Desert Inn Road and Valley View Boulevard, on Sunday, Jan. 29.
The initial investigation indicated foul play was involved, according to LVMPD. The Clark County Coroner's office said Williams died from strangulation, and her death was ruled a homicide.
No further information on the investigation has been released, though court records state a warrant for Hetzel's arrest was issued on Feb. 2.
Hetzel is currently awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.
