Simi Valley Police have arrested a 15-year-old for allegedly stabbing a Circle-K employee over the weekend after shoplifting from the store.

The stabbing occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Circle-K located at 665 Los Angeles Avenue.

An employee told officers that two men walked into the store, stole alcohol, and then ran to a wash area east of the business.

That employee chased the suspects, but eventually lost sight of them. He found the stolen items and was recovering them when the men returned and stabbed him, police said.

The clerk suffered a non-life-threatening wound.

On Wednesday, Simi Valley Police announced that they had arrested the primary suspect, a 15-year-old male, after responding to a “fight in progress” call in the 1700 block of Alviso Street.

He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and shoplifting.

Anyone with further information is asked to call the Simi Valley Police Department at (805) 583-6959.
