Star Wars and House of Gucci star Adam Driver's new movie Ferrari has landed a UK release, and had its first picture released.

The actor returns to the world of biopics as he plays ex-race car driver Enzo Ferrari, who is struggling to maintain the business that he and his wife Laura set up a decade earlier. His marriage is also struggling due to the loss of one of their children, and distance from another.

To secure his future, he places all his bets on one race: the 1957 Mille Miglia, an almost 1,000-mile race across Italy.

The first look images sees 39-year old Driver transform into Enzo Ferrari, who was nearly 60 when the race took place. His hair is suitably grey and shorter than what we're used to, and while his eyes are hidden behind some big glasses and dark shadows, his outfit really helps him give off 'old man' vibes.

While the film doesn't have a release date announced yet, the picture comes with the announcement that Sky has picked it up to release on Sky Cinema and streaming service NOW in 2023.

It was left without a distributor last year after STX announced they had restructured into becoming a production company only, leaving multiple films' futures uncertain. An American distributor has not been announced at the time of writing.

Ferrari isn't the only film that Driver has in the pipeline. His science fiction movie 65, which sees him play an astronaut who crash lands on a planet and has to fight off some dinosaurs, is set to be released very soon.

A trailer for it is already out, so you can watch for yourself and decide if it looks as silly as we've made it out to be.

Joe Anderton is a freelance news writer and resident Welsh person at Digital Spy, having worked there since 2016.

In his time he's covered a host of live events, interviewed celebrities big and small and crowbarred a countless amount of great/awful (delete as appropriate) puns into articles.

A big fan of TV and movies both mainstream and obscure, Joe's main interest is in video gaming. Although particularly a PlayStation gamer, he plays across Xbox, Nintendo and PC/Steam Deck, and likes to keep tabs on many games he's not got the time to play.

Joe currently does not use Twitter, but he only ever used it to tell people to watch the film Help! I'm a Fish (which you really should do).
