Three men from New York were convicted on multiple charges related to assault, robbery, and kidnapping in Pike County.
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced today that 34-year-old Adam Abdur-Rahim, 31-year-old Musa Abdur-Rahim, and 53-year-old Troy Sutton have been charged with kidnapping, multiple counts of robbery, burglary, multiple counts of terroristic threats, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
Additionally, Adam Abdur-Rahim and Troy Sutton were convicted of carrying a firearm without a license and possession of an instrument of crime.
Officials say the trio was involved in an attack back in 2019, and video shows the men breaking into the Pine Ridge Community office and assaulting a security guard.
Police say the men handcuffed the victim and took him to his truck. Once in the parking lot, the Rahim brothers drove away in the victim's vehicle with him handcuffed in the back seat. Sutton drove away in the Pine Ridge Security vehicle, according to officials.
The three were all eventually apprehended and the victim was freed.
While some troopers were rescuing the victim, other troopers responded to the Pine Ridge Office and located three other employees who were locked in an interior office.
Sentencing has been set for the three on March 31st at 9 AM.
