Four Rams Ranked Among All-Time Super Bowl QBs

Who are the best ever quarterbacks to start the Super Bowl?

The argument of "greatest of all time" NFL quarterbacks begins and ends with Tom Brady's supreme reign. However, the league boasts many other crazy talented quarterbacks that have shined on the biggest football stage: the Super Bowl.

NFL.com ranked the best 66 quarterbacks to ever start a Super Bowl and four Rams landed on the list. Kurt Warner is the highest-ranked Ram at No. 22 in the "in (or should be in) the Hall-Of-Fame" category.

Warner's list of accomplishments is vast and he is widely-considered to be the NFL's greatest undrafted player. Warners is the only undrafted player to lead his team to a Super Bowl victory, earn NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP.

In his first season, Warner led 'The Greatest Show on Turf' offense to the Rams' first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXIV. Warner again led the Rams to a Super Bowl XXXVI appearance plus Super Bowl XLIII with the Cardinals. Warner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

The other quarterbacks tiered with Warner are: Fran Tarkenton, Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, Jim Kelly, Bob Griese, Len Dawson, Ken Anderson, Ken Stabler and Russell Wilson.

No. 30 Matthew Stafford lands in the "fun to watch" category, No. 55 Jared Goff and No. 63 Vince Ferragamo rank in the "middle of the pack" category.

After an unprecedented career, the recently-retired Brady takes the top spot on the list. Behind Brady is No. 2 Johnny Unitas, No. 3 Joe Montana, No. 4 Peyton Manning and No. 5 Dan Marino. The ranking is based on accomplishment as it stands today.

Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, the two quarterbacks in starting Super Bowl LVII, also make the list. Mahomes is at No. 10 and climbing while Hurts, who has only 34 career regular-season starts, lands at No. 57. It's not often Mahomes is an underdog ... He and the Kansas City Chiefs will try to pull the upset over the Philadelphia Eagles (1.5-point favorites) in Glendale, Ariz. on Feb. 12 to become Super Bowl LVII Champions.
