The $1 million Powerball lottery ticket sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s lottery drawing was purchased at a deli in Middlesex County.

The lucky winner bought the second-prize ticket at Milltown Convenience Deli & Grill on South Main Street in Milltown, New Jersey Lottery officials said Monday.

It matched five numbers but not the Powerball.

Five third-prize tickets worth $50,000 were sold in New Jersey at the following locations:

  • 7-Eleven on Union Avenue in East Rutherford
  • Wawa on Jewell Street in Garfield
  • QuickChek on East 53rd Street in Bayonne
  • Main Street Submarine on Main Street in Madison
  • Nana Pena Grocery Deli Market on Trenton Avenue in Paterson

Each matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

No one across the country hit Saturday’s $704.4 million Powerball jackpot, pushing the top prize for Monday’s drawing to $747 million with a cash option of $403.1 million.

Other second-prize tickets were sold in Florida, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

The winning numbers were 2, 8, 15, 19 and 58. The Powerball was 10, with a Power Play of 2X.

If a player wins Monday’s jackpot, it would be fifth-largest Powerball jackpot and the ninth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot.

The Powerball has gone 33 drawings without a jackpot winner. The last Powerball jackpot was won Nov. 19 by a ticket sold in Kansas that won $92.9 million.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball is played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $31 million with a cash option of $16.6 million.
