Police are searching for the driver of a white pickup truck who ran off after hitting at least three cars in Miller Place.
The incident happened on Parkside Drive around 10 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the truck smashed into a wall and a basketball hoop at a neighbor's home. The driver then ran away.
The homeowner, Charlie Ecker, claims his property was damaged and his cars were the ones smashed.
"The house shook - I thought it was a bomb," Ecker says.
Ecker's wife ran out to help the driver of the white truck, but he says he ran off and was gone before the police arrived.
Police tell News 12 the truck has been impounded for an investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
