Two Grammy-Winning Artists Sport Their Dodgers Caps At Sunday's Award Show

Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny both wore Dodgers caps during the 2023 Grammys where they both walked away with new hardware.

Los Angeles is not only home to some of the best sports teams in the nation but it's almost one of the biggest pop culture and entertainment hubs in the world.

On Sunday night, the 65th Annual Grammy Awards were hosted in Crypto.com Arena. L.A. has held a total of 40 Grammy telecasts, and a total of 51 including the pre-broadcast era years.

Clearly, this city's deeply-rooted traditions date way, way back, and it's no surprise that artists at the Grammys were willing to show homage to the city of Los Angeles in their own unique ways:

Two Dodgers now have chosen Bad Bunny for their walk-up songs. One of those is All-Star and Wrld Series Champion Freddie Freeman and the other is Bad Bunny superfan and the newly-named Dodger, Miguel Rojas.

This year, Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” was named best rap album. This would be his third nomination and win in the category, following victories for “To Pimp a Butterfly” (2016) and “DAMN.” (2019).

Additionally, Bad Bunny made history during the 2023 Grammys as his album "Un Verano Sin Ti” was nominated as the first Spanish-language LP to be up for Album of the Year. Although he didn't win it, e did walk away with a Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album.

Congratulations on the two for their awards and hopefully we'll catch them at a game this season.
