Public can give input on possible short term rental fee increase in Missoula

MISSOULA, Mont. —
The public can give input on Missoula possibly increasing fees for using homes as short term rentals.
ADVERTISEMENT
The vacation rentals must meet a number of safety, occupancy, location and health standards. Owners are required to pay various fees to rent out the entire property for short periods of time.
Planners say the city needs to charge more to bring these tourism rental fees in line with how much it costs Missoula to regulate and manage them.
The City Council meets at 6 p.m. in their chambers.
