ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a homicide Monday morning. Police say officers were sent to the area of 1500 Candelaria Rd to reports of a man on the road. APD says when officers arrived they found the man dead with a gunshot wound.
APD says investigators determined he was shot around 1:30 a.m. They say the man was shot from behind while walking on Candelaria near I-25. Police say around 4:40 a.m. the man crawled into traffic lanes and was hit by a vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and the victim was declared dead. The incident is still under investigation.
