BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - February is Black History Month and all month long we are honoring the black men and women who continue to make new strides in our community.

There are several ways you can support and honor businesses.

Stop by Parker’s Pharmacy located at 9600 Florida Blvd in Suite 5 where you can find all of the same services and resources being offered by big box retailers.

The pharmacy has been in the community for four, going on five years, and was co-founded by Orlando Palmer, along with his brother, Kyle.

According to Palmer, the location on Florida Boulevard is about to expand and there will be a second location opening near Sherwood and Coursey.

Visit them online here.

The owner of Empire Wingz, Vic Smith, says you’ll eat some of the “best wings in the country” when you stop by one of the three locations across the Capital City.
