Drugs: Colorado Avenue
Police stopped a driver Jan. 17 for having license plates on his car that belonged to a different vehicle. The 60-year-old Grafton man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and suspected cocaine was seized.
Failure to comply: Interstate 90
A driver led police on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of 90 mph, for more than two miles Dec. 30 after officers tried to pull him over for improper display of a license plate.
The pursuit was terminated when the driver entered a construction zone. Bay Village police later pursued the same vehicle.
A suspect has been identified and warrants have been issued, reports said.
Drugs/license violation: Detroit Road
A Lorain man was arrested Jan. 1 after police pulled him over for a license plate violation. The man was found to be driving on a temporary driver’s permit without a valid driver. He also had an outstanding warrant.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located.
A passenger was also reportedly cited.
Theft: Nagel Road
An Elyria man was arrested for theft from a Meijer store at 4:27 p.m. Jan. 16 when he was seen concealing $32 worth of items and leaving the store.
