There's no secret about what the Cavaliers need and are looking to trade for as the NBA Trade Deadline is less than a week away. They need a wing that can play defense and score on a consistent basis.

These "three-and-D" players aren't as easy to find as some fans may think and teams end up paying a premium when they trade for them. However, a player like this is essential if the team wants to win.

The perfect player that fits the Cavaliers' style of play could be the missing piece to turn them into a Finals contender Jerami Grant.

It's hard to not look at Grant and see how great he would play with the Cavaliers.

This season with the Trail Blazers, he's averaging 20.4 points per game and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from three. This kind of offensive production from a wing is nowhere to be found when looking at the Cavs' roster.

Grant is a solid defensive player as well. He's averaging just over a steal and block a night while also posting a defensive rating of 117.5.

It won't be easy getting Grant in a Cavs uniform. The Blazers have been rumored to be shopping a number of players this deadline, but Grant has not come up in those rumors. However, that doesn't mean that they won't move him if presented with an enticing offer.

If Cleveland doesn't trade for him then their next chance to bring him in would be during free agency this summer with Grant's contract expiring after this season. This won't be cheap.

Grant himself confirmed that Portland offered him a four-year $112 million extension, but he declined it. He said that he wants to focus on this season right now and his future over the offseason, which is more than fair.

The Cavs will have to pay a hefty price whether it's trading for Grant or singing for him. However, this would be a necessary price to pay for a team that wants to win it all.
