Car crashes into Gibbs school building

CORRYTON, Tenn. (WATE) — Law enforcement is investigating a vehicle that crashed into a Gibbs school building Sunday.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office Patrol responded to Corryton around 7:15 p.m. where a vehicle was found in a building of a school. A report from KCSO said a red Subaru struck a building on the Gibbs High School campus near the Ernest Whited Stadium. The majority of the vehicle went into the building.

The sheriff’s office said the accident was intentional. The driver was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
