This week on WWE SmackDown, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre sought revenge against The Viking Raiders. As McIntyre and Sheamus came out to attack the duo on the entranceway, The Celtic Warrior slipped under Erik and forced the latter to hold on to him to prevent him from falling.
The WWE Universe picked up on the botch, and it soon went viral on social media. It is to be noted that Sheamus managed to recover quickly, and the botch didn’t ruin the actual outcome of the brawl.
Sheamus took to Twitter and he addressed the hilarious botch. The former WWE Champion even gave the unplanned spot a name in the same way that Titus O’Neil once did.
Erik and Ivar later defeated The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) in tag team action on the February 3rd episode of WWE SmackDown.
Although Sheamus and Drew McIntyre started working as a tag team, The Celtic Warrior was eliminated from the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match by The Scottish Psychopath and Gunther. It remains to be seen how the chemistry between Sheamus and McIntyre develops en route to WrestleMania 39.
