Woman hit by her own car: Avon Lake Police Blotter

Personal injury: Lake Road

On Jan. 29, a woman was hit by her own vehicle on Lake Road near Aquamarine Boulevard. She was transported to the hospital.

Receiving stolen property: Walker Road

During a traffic stop of a man with an outstanding warrant Jan. 20, police found items in the truck that had been reported stolen out of Avon.

Property damage: Beck Road

On Jan. 24, a property manager reported that tenants had caused significant damage to a home prior to being evicted.

Fraud: Brookfield Road

A resident reported that nearly $1,400 had been fraudulently charged to his PayPal account Jan. 26.

OVI: Lake Road

A driver was arrested and cited for operating under the influence Jan. 27. Future charges are pending lab results.

Criminal damaging: Armour Road

On Jan. 27, a father reported that his daughter’s ex-boyfriend had intentionally turfed the tree lawn area, leaving ruts and mud all over the driveway.

Police met with the ex-boyfriend the next day. He was escorted to pick up his personal property. He apologized and agreed to make repairs.
