NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio

OVI: Avalon Drive

On Jan. 29, officers responded to an accident blocking the road. A woman attempted to drive on the curb to get around an officer’s cruiser and nearly hit it. She stopped and was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

OVI: U.S. 20

During a traffic stop for speeding Jan. 28, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Fleeing: Cleveland Street

On Jan. 27, an officer spotted a car matching the description of one in pursuit by Elyria police. The officer attempted to stop the driver, but the driver fled. A short pursuit was terminated.

The driver was identified and charged with fleeing, reckless operation and driving under suspension.

Drunk driving: Chestnut Ridge Road

A driver crashed into the roundabout at Chestnut Ridge Road and Alternate Ohio 83 Jan. 28. He was arrested and charged with drunk driving.

Theft: Gale Drive

On Jan. 31, residents reported that moving company employees had stolen valuables.
