Metropolitan Opera & Renée Fleming Lead Grammy Winners

The Grammy Awards have announced their  2023 winners.

In the Best Opera Recording category Terence Blanchard’s “Fire Shut up in my Bones” took home the award.

The recording to “Fire Shut Up In My Bones” features Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Angel Blue, Will Liverman, Latonia Moore, and Walter Russell III. David Frost, produced and the record features the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and The Metropolitan Opera Chorus.

The Best Choral Performance category winner was “Born” with  Donald Nally, Dominic German, Maren Montalbano, Rebecca Myers, James Reese, and The Crossing.

Finally, the Best Classical Solo Vocal Album winner was “Voice Of Nature – The Anthropocene” by Renée Fleming, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

The Producer of the Year, Classical went to Judith Sherman.
