Indiana Jones' Harrison Ford had nothing but praise for his former co-star, Ke Huy Quan, after learning of his Oscar nomination for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The pair met while working together on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and thankfully Ford is a lot happier to make friends with his colleagues than Han Solo is.

The actor spoke about Quan's incredible news at the premier of the new Apple TV+ show Shrinking, in which Ford plays Dr Paul Rhodes alongside Jason Segel.

When asked about Kuan's nomination for Best Supporting Actor (the award winners will be revealed in March), Ford shared (via Entertainment Tonight): "I'm so happy for him. He's a great guy. He's a wonderful actor. He was when he was a little kid, and he still is. I'm glad. I'm very happy for him."

He also put forward his keenness for the possibility of Quan featuring in future Indiana Jones films, saying: "That'd be great".

Back when the duo acted together Kuan was only 12 years old, kickstarting his career as Short Round. However, the pair reunited last year, and proved that time hasn't changed the bond between them.

Kuan shared a really heartwarming insight into the meeting, explaining: "As I get closer, he turns and points his finger at me, and he has that classic, famous grumpy Harrison Ford look. I go: 'Oh my gosh, he probably thinks I'm a fan and he's gonna tell me to not come near him. But he looks and points at me and says: 'Are you Short Round?'

"Immediately, I was transported back to 1985, when I was a little kid, and I said: 'Yes, Indy'. And he said: 'Come here', and gave me a big hug. When I wrapped my arms around him, all those wonderful memories I had on the set came flooding back. It felt so comfortable. It was amazing, and he's an amazing man – one of the most generous men on the planet."

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
