Kentucky Cracks Top 10 for 3-Star Offensive Tackle Jac'Qawn McRoy

The Wildcats are in the mix for an Alabama 3-star offensive tackle.

Beefing up the offensive line continues to be a priority for Kentucky coach Mark Stoops and offensive line coach Zach Yenser.

The Wildcats have already earned the commitments of two offensive linemen for the 2024 class, as 3-star Kentuckians Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm have both pledged to UK.

On Saturday afternoon, an out-of-state target released his top 10 schools, including Kentucky.

Jac'Qawn McRoy — a 3-star offensive tackle out of Pinson, Ala. — is rated as the No. 466 player in the class, as well as the No. 26 OT, per the On3 Consensus. He is down to UK, as well as the following nine schools:

  • Oregon
  • LSU
  • Tennessee
  • Auburn
  • Arkansas
  • Miami
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Ole Miss

Kentucky will have to battle with the SEC's elite programs if it wants to land the 6-foot-8, 340-pounder out of Clay-Chakville High School. Auburn will have the home advantage, being just over 100 miles away from Pinson.

McRoy took an unofficial visit to Lexington on Sept. 24. He as also taken a pair of visits to both Auburn and Arkansas. He is rated as high as a 4-star by 247Sports.
