Spencer Dinwiddie's Viral Tweet After Getting Traded

Spencer Dinwiddie sent out a tweet after he was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Brooklyn Nets.

On Sunday, 12 teams in the NBA have games, but most of the attention is on Kyrie Irving reportedly getting traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium was the first to report the deal.

After the blockbuster trade was announced, Spencer Dinwiddie (who is being traded to the Nets) sent out a tweet.

Dinwiddie: "To the #mffl like I’ve always said y’all and BKN have made my NBA experience. Nothing but immaculate vibes as @tpinsonn would say."

The post has nearly 18,000 likes (and 600,000 impressions) in 90 minutes.

Dinwiddie was in his second season with the Mavs (he was traded from the Washington Wizards in 2021-22) and is averaging 17.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest.

He is also shooting 45.5% from the field and 40.5% from the three-point range.

The 29-year-old guard is one of the best role players in the NBA and previously spent five seasons with the Nets (his longest tenure with a team).

Dinwiddie had bounced around the NBA (and the G League) before finding a home with the Nets in 2016.

Ironically, he was teammates on the Nets with Irving (who he was traded for).

Through 274 regular season games (with the Nets), he averaged 14.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest.

Right now, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-20 record in 52 games.

The Nets will play their next game on Monday night when they host the Los Angeles Clippers at Barclays Center.
