Dodgers: Julio Urias Has One Goal This Season

Dodgers lefty ace says his goal is to win a championship in 2023

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been good for a long time. They’ve had the star power, front office, coaching, and prospects that have carried them to multiple division titles and three NL pennants.

Unfortunately, LA only has one World Series title to show for it, and the goal every year is to capture a championship. Even though the Dodgers have lost more than they’ve gained this offseason, it doesn’t mean the goal changes for LA or their ace Julio Urias.

Urias spoke to Dodgers insider David Vassegh at LA’s annual Fan Fest at Dodger Stadium and said his goal is to bring another championship to the city of Los Angeles.

That should be the goal every year, regardless of their odds or what the team looks like on paper.

LA lost some great players this offseason in Trea Turner, Justin Turner, and Cody Bellinger, and their ace Walker Buehler will likely miss the entire season.

Nonetheless, the Dodgers still have the offense and defense to make a run at their eighth title and capture their second in four seasons.

Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Clayton Kershaw, and Julio Urias are still donning Dodger blue, and if you have those guys on your team, then they still have an excellent chance to win it all.

The 2023 Dodgers don’t have the same expectations they’ve had over the years, but maybe that’s exactly how they wanted things to play out.

We’re excited to see what they have in store for us.
