BREAKING: Steph Curry's Injury Diagnosis Announced

The Golden State Warriors have announced Steph Curry's injury diagnosis.

On Saturday night, Steph Curry got injured during the Golden State Warriors' 119-113 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

He finished the game with 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 26 minutes of playing time.

On Sunday afternoon, the Warriors announced his injury diagnosis.

Via Warriors PR: "Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who exited last night's game against the Dallas Mavericks with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter due to a left lower leg injury, underwent a series of examinations last night. An MRI last night confirmed that Curry suffered partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane as well as a contusion in his lower leg. He will not play in tomorrow's game against Oklahoma City and additional clarity on a potential timeline will be established in the coming days."

Curry is in the middle of another sensational season with unbelievable averages of 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest.

The two-time MVP is also shooting 49.5% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.

Earlier in the day, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Curry will miss significant time.

Via Charania: "Golden State’s Stephen Curry is expected to miss multiple weeks with a left leg injury, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

In 2022, the Warriors won the NBA Championship for the fourth time in the previous eight seasons.

However, this year they are 27-26, which has them tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

The Warriors are only 3.0 games behind the Sacramento Kings for the third seed, but they are also just 2.5 games in front of the Los Angeles Lakers (the 13th seed).

Therefore, they will need to play well without Curry in order to avoid falling out of a play-in tournament spot.

The biggest struggles for the team have come on the road (7-20 in 27 games).

The Warriors will play their next game on Monday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center.

They are an outstanding 20-6 in 26 games at home.
