0Celebrity Stylist E-Money is the Money Look
Fashion concierge to the stars, Eric ‘EMoney” Wheat, is a Florida native that embodies a sophisticated, southern “urban” swag, with a spin on modern-day luxury. EMoney, developed a passionate affinity for fashion and styling at a very young age, “developing looks before [he] knew he was developing looks”. Nominations from his peers and colleagues for “best dressed” and “most likely to succeed” followed him into early adulthood, where he began working with the group “Pretty Ricky”, with whom he’s developed a dynamic brotherhood. Inspired by ‘black fashion’ and iconic, visionaries like Virgil Abloh, EMoney aspires to become “one-of-one” in the fashion game, by creating signature looks with the worlds most elite brands, in collaboration with up and coming, black fashion designers, to create fresh, elevated looks. Eric has curated looks for athletes, recording artists, entrepreneurs, and public figures. His client list includes superstars like Ray J, Migos, Jacquees, Plies, Gucci Mane, Ludacris, Tank, T.I., Future, and many others; his signature looks have been highly sought after for red carpets, music videos, editorial campaigns, and national/global tours. Lacking comparison, EMoney has become the go-to “money look” for bringing unique visions to life.
Wearing a signature Raiflanier hoodie, with a plaid coat and a pair of contemporary, Off-White shades, EMoney sat with me to discuss his journey in fashion, where he details the importance of persistence and belief in self with being “one look away from your next breakthrough”. No stranger to hard work and dedication, Eric discusses the challenges faced at times with creating an understanding of the value of personal styling as a luxury service, “a lot of people want Gucci on Gap budgets”, he also expresses the value of seeking a mentor for aspiring stylists, coming into such a competitive industry. When asked what’s the greatest advice anyone’s ever given him, EMoney says, “be careful who you get your advice from”. ‘The dream’ for Eric in 2023 or as he calls it the “Jordan Year”, aside from a year filled with continued tour bookings, is to evolve into a career in talent management, dubbing it “The Money Look Management”, it’s a movement!
