OKC Thunder Could Be a Part of History on Tuesday

Oklahoma City could be a part of history on Tuesday when they visit Los Angeles.
OKC will face LeBron James and the Lakers, and James will be looking to break the all-time scoring record.
The record is currently held by Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at 38,387. After a 27-point outing on Saturday, James is now 36 points away from the record with 38,352. It has stood for nearly 40 years.
James will enter Tuesday’s game averaging 30 points per game, good for seventh in the league, and will face a Thunder team lacking the size to defend him.
James has been dominant against OKC in his career. He’s averaging 28.1 points, seven rebounds and 7.4 assists in his 34 games against the Thunder.
With the chance of history being made, the game has been flexed to TNT, giving OKC its second nationally televised game of the year. The team's other nationally televised game was a Jan. 10 loss to Miami.
OKC has struggled to defend sizable forwards like James all season. He has the chance to rewrite history books and OKC will have the chance to get in front of a national audience.
