BREAKING: Steph Curry Injury Update Reported

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported an update on Steph Curry.

On Saturday night, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 119-113.

However, the more significant concern was the fact that Steph Curry exited the game with a leg injury in the second half.

He finished the night with 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 26 minutes of playing time.

On Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported an update on the two-time MVP.

Via Charania: "Golden State’s Stephen Curry is expected to miss multiple weeks with a left leg injury, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

The update is disappointing, as Curry is in the middle of a tremendous season with averages of 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest in 38 games.

He is also shooting an outstanding 49.5% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.

The Warriors are 27-26 in 53 games, which has them tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

However, the west has been close, and they are only 3.0 games behind the Sacramento Kings for the third seed.

That said, the Warriors will have to play well without Curry because they are only 2.5 games in front of the Los Angeles Lakers (the 13th seed).

Last season, they won their fourth NBA Championship in eight seasons (they have also been to the NBA Finals six times in that span).

The Warriors will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
