RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio --
Suspicious, Cypress Pond:
A man convinced a cleaning lady to let him into the client’s basement 10 a.m. Jan. 31. He said he was an electrician and needed access because he was learning his job. After receiving a phone call, he left. The cleaning lady told police she watched him the entire time he was there. The home owner verified that nothing was taken. Police checked the area and discussed it with other residents. Advice was given to the homeowner and the cleaning lady.
Traffic hazard, River Glen Drive:
Police responded to home 5 p.m. Jan. 28 after a man reported a subject fishing in the river behind his house. The subject was also parked on the side of busy Kinsman Road. The officer gave advice to the fisherman about parking and trespassing.
Traffic complaint, Chillicothe Road:
A motorist reported a semi truck on the road with a fuel pump and hose sticking out of the fuel tank 3:45 p.m. Jan. 28 in the area of Circle K. Officer’s checked the area. All fuel pumps were intact at Circle K. Bainbridge Township police found the truck in their town. The driver said the pump and hose were from the trucking company’s own yard in Newbury Township.
Suspicious, Stillwater Drive:
A man called police just before 3 a.m. Jan. 29 and stated his truck was stolen. Upon arrival to the man’s home, an officer noted the truck was parked at the home.
Suspicious, Music Street:
After seeing footprints in his yard leading to his gas meter along with other houses on the street, a man called police 6:38 p.m. Jan. 31. He first called the gas company and they advised that no one was working in his area that day. Officers checked the area, but, did not find the suspect.
