Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford has opened up about the de-aging process on the film, describing it as "fantastic".
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, aka Indiana Jones 5, stars Harrison Ford as he reprises the titular role for the fifth time.
As we saw in the first official trailer, the upcoming instalment will feature some flashback scenes in which Harrison Ford will be de-aged digitally.

Speaking of the process on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Ford said that the technology used to de-age him used the actual face of his younger self.
"That is my actual face at that age," Ford revealed, going on to explain the process which involved artificial intelligence.
"They have this artificial intelligence program. It can go through every foot of film Lucasfilm owns," he explained.
According to Ford, footage from all of the movies he made for Lucasfilm over the years, including unused footage, was used to create the younger version of himself.

"Because I did a bunch of movies for them, they have all this footage, including film that wasn't printed," he explained. "They could mine it from where the light is coming from, the expression. But that's my actual face. I put little dots on my face and I say the words and they make it. It's fantastic."
Fans won't have too long to wait to see the de-aging process on the big screen as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
Directed by James Mangold, the film's opening sequence set in 1944 will feature a digitally de-aged Ford as he battles a castle full of Nazi's.
The majority of the movie will be set in 1969, where Indy suspects that some of the Nazi scientists brought to the US after the war are trying to sabotage the country.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
