Power restored after crash caused power outage Montgomery County

SHILOH — Power has been restored after a crash caused more than 1,000 people to be without power Sunday morning in Montgomery County.

A car was driving in the area of Haney Road and Flynn Street around 9:10 a.m. when it lost control, traveled off the left side of the roadway and collided with an AES pole, according to Harrison Township deputies.

The outage was a result of the crash, according to Mary Ann Kabel with AES Ohio.

As many as 1,800 AES customers reported outages, according to the AES Outage Map. Power has been restored.

The driver was not injured.

Our News Center 7 crew reported seeing Capital Electric crews working to restore power to traffic lights near Shoup Mill Road and North Main Street.
