The Pella bowlers swept the competition in Keokuk County during a triangular meet Saturday. The Dutch boys scored 2549 pins and the girls hit 1959, defeating both the hosting Signourey Cobras and Isaac Newton Academy.

Pella’s Carter Failor improved upon his season bests, as his individual game of 269 is second best all time to the 290 rolled by Reid Miller in January of 2019 — and two pins better than his highest total in 2023. His two game series of 483 is 3rd best in school history.

The Dutch girls total score of 1959 is their best of the 2022-23 season so far, and just 23 pins from the school record. Mallory Westerkamp was the top individual for Pella at 295, followed by Taylor Walker’s 288. Pella returns to action Thursday at Ballard.
