Jonathan Kuminga Makes Exciting Golden State Warriors History

Jonathan Kuminga made Golden State Warriors history on Saturday night.

On Saturday evening, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The Warriors won the game by a score of 119-113 to improve to 27-26 in 53 games on the season.

Jonathan Kuminga finished his night with 13 points, two rebounds, one assist and one block (on 6/11 shooting from the field).

He also made exciting franchise history during the game, as the 20-year-old is now the youngest Warriors player to score 1,000 points.

to becoming the youngest Warrior to ever reach 1,000 career points"

Kuminga is in his second season in the NBA after the Warriors selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Being a young player on a team that has won four titles in eight seasons can be challenging, but he is having a solid season with averages of 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest in 41 games (he is also shooting 50.6% from the field).

Last season, Kuminga was a 19-year-old rookie (that averaged 9.3 points per contest) and the Warriors won the NBA Championship, so he has definitely had a unique beginning to his career.

Kuminga has the potential to be an excellent player one day, and he achieved an exciting milestone for one of the best franchises in the NBA.

The Warriors will play their next game on Monday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder.
