PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man and his small child were shot on Saturday night in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened just before 9 p.m. on the 12000 block of Verda Drive.
Philadelphia police say a 38-year-old man was shot twice in his left hip, while his 5-year-old son was shot once in the right elbow.
Both victims were taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and placed in stable condition.
The 5-year-old was being transported to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for further treatment.
The two were shot as they were walking into their home. Police believe this was a targeted attack.
No weapon has been recovered and no arrests have been made.
A glass door of one home was shattered, while a neighboring home had a bullet hole in a window.
