BREAKING: Trae Young's Final Status For Hawks-Nuggets Game

Trae Young has been ruled out for Saturday's game.

On Saturday night, the Atlanta Hawks are in Colorado to face off with the Denver Nuggets.

For the game, they will be without their best player, as superstar point guard Trae Young has been ruled out due to an illness.

Via The Hawks: "An @emoryhealthcare injury report for tonight’s game at Denver:

Trae Young (non-COVID illness): Out"

The two-time NBA All-Star is currently averaging an outstanding 27.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 9.9 assists per contest in 47 games.

Outside of his rookie year, Young has never averaged less than 25.3 points or 9.3 assists per contest in a season.

In each of the last two seasons, he has led the Hawks to the NBA Playoffs.

Right now, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 27-26 record in 52 games.

The Hawks are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

On the road, they are 14-15 in 29 games played away from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Playing without Young on Saturday night will be tough because the Nuggets are the best team in the Western Conference.

They are 36-16 in 52 games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Over the last ten games, the Nuggets have gone 7-3, and they are an incredible 24-4 in the 28 games they have hosted at home in Denver, Colorado.

Earlier this season, the Hawks beat the Nuggets 117-109 (at home), and Young was also not available for the game.
