NEW ORLEANS — A vehicle crash in Gentilly turns into a homicide investigation.
The New Orleans Police Department is now investigating a homicide after responding to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Clover Street and Franklin Avenue Saturday evening.
“Officers responding to an initial call of a vehicle crash arrived on scene and located a male gunshot wound victim inside of a vehicle,” an NOPD spokesperson says in an initial report.
The gunshot victim was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the location where the man was initially shot before crashing his vehicle.
