Gov. McMaster speaks after US downs Chinese spy balloon

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – Governor Henry McMaster issued a statement after the United States downed a suspected Chinese spy balloon off the Carolina coast on Saturday.

Gov. McMaster issued the following statement:

Shortly after noon today, I was briefed by the Pentagon on plans to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon once it was safely off our coast. It appears that has just happened.
