Just after 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, emergency responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 at milepost 41.
Oregon State Police say the preliminary investigation revealed that a green Ford Ranger was traveling westbound on Highway 26 when in crossed the centerline and struck a white Honda CRV, hitting it nearly head-on.
69-year-old Mark Leslie Kingman of Brinnon, Washington was behind the wheel of the green Ford. He died at the scene. The driver of the white Honda, identified as 52-year-old Zeinab Muhieddine Kabbani McBoul of Seaside, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A passenger in the Honda, 92-year-old Mariam El Hindawi, also from Seaside, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. After arriving at the hospital, officials say Hindawi died.
The Oregon State Police was assisted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon Department of Transportation, and the Banks Fire Department.
