Morris Knolls’ boys team, and Mount Olive’s girls teams earned team titles at the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 sectional meet, while Demarest’s boys team and River Dell’s girls squad took the top spot in the North 1, Group 2 team race, at Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River.
Christian Allen led the charge for River Dell by taking three gold medals. The junior took first in the N1G2′s 800 final with a tie of 2:21.01, a gold in the 1600 with a 5:21.40, and gold in the 3200 with an 11:14.70.
Lakeland’s Owen Horvay won a pair of gold medals by taking first in the N1G2′s 1600 with a 4:20.99, and by winning the 3200 with a 9:34.26.
