Conor McGregor Returning for Fight With Michael Chandler, Coaching TUF 31

In an announcement from UFC President Dana White, he confirmed that former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor will be returning to the Octagon for an upcoming fight with Michael Chandler. Both men will coach the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter Season 31: Team McGregor vs. Team Chandler.

The new season of TUF debuts on Tuesday, May 30 on ESPN and ESPN+. Conor McGregor and Chandler will fight each other at the end of the season on ESPN+ pay-per-view. A date and location have not yet been scheduled for the fight.

This will be McGregor’s first fight in nearly two years. He suffered back-to-back knockout losses against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264 in 2021. Meanwhile, Chandler is looking to rebound from a UFC 281 submission loss to Dustin Poirier that happened last November.
