NEW YORK – Amanda Serrano is certain fans will want to see more of Shadasia Green once they become familiar with one of the few women in boxing who knocks out her opponents.

Serrano’s promoter, Jake Paul, signed Green recently. Green (11-0, 10 KOs), of Paterson, New Jersey, will make her debut under Paul’s promotional umbrella Saturday night, when she will battle Sweden’s Elin Cederroos in a 10-round, 168-pound WBC championship elimination match on the Serrano-Erika Cruz undercard at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.

“I’m extremely excited for her to showcase herself,” Serrano told BoxingScene.com. “She’s an extremely talented woman. She’s been under the radar, and now it’s her time to shine. What Jake Paul did for me, he’s gonna do for her. He’s gonna put the spotlight on her and he’s gonna have people like, ‘Who is this woman? Who is Shadasia Green?’ And then, once she showcases and performs, the rest is history.”

The 33-year-old Green, a former Division I point guard for Old Dominion University, can become the WBC’s mandatory challenger for undisputed 168-pound champion Franchon Crews if she defeats Cederroos (8-1, 4 KOs). Baltimore’s Crews (8-1, 2 KOs), who has lost only to undefeated three-division champion Claressa Shields, became the fully unified super middleweight champ by out-pointing Cederroos unanimously in their 10-rounder on the Katie Taylor-Serrano undercard last April 30 at a sold-out Madison Square Garden.

Green, who is consistently listed as a 6-1 favorite over Cederroos, has won nine straight bouts by knockout or technical knockout. The 38-year-old Cederroos hasn’t been knocked out in any of her 12 professional fights.

“People like to see knockouts,” Serrano said. “You don’t see that much with women. There are very few. When they do it, the fans get excited about it. I think [Green is] gonna continue to do what she does.”

Green-Cederroos, one of five women’s bouts on this card, will be streamed on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel. Matchroom’s coverage of five fights is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The 10-round, 126-pound title unification bout between Brooklyn’s Serrano (43-2-1, 30 KOs) and Mexico City’s Cruz (15-1, 3 KOs) will headline DAZN’s four-fight show, which will start at 8 p.m. ET. Serrano and Cruz will fight for Serrano’s IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO featherweight titles and Cruz’s WBA belt.
