Hisense now claims to have shipped the most units of any brand in the global TV market. These figures, which apply to the month of December 2022, have also apparently helped propel the brand to #2 in terms of market share over the past year. Hisense also attributes its success to its sponsorship of the recent FIFA World Cup event.

According to the market research group AVC Revo, Hisense hit an important milestone on its path to the top of the TV market worldwide, shipping 2.326 million units in the last month of 2022. The OEM now claims to have taken second place in these terms for the whole of 2022.

Hisense - which is also involved in areas such as "precision medicine" and optics for connectivity as well as its big-screen consumer-facing division - notes that it shipped 12.2% more units year on year in markets such as Europe and Japan, thus expanding its global market share to 12.06%.

The company also put these claims, as well as those of having taken a leading position in its native China, right on show during its tenure as a sponsor of soccer's most recent international championship.

The OEM now pledges to build on its success by maintaining its commitment to releasing "more premium" as time goes on. Its CES 2023 showcase seems to bolster that aim, boasting new high-end models incorporating up-to-date tech such as high-brightness mini-LED technology that should join others with high-refresh-rate OLED soon.
