Gary Lynn Dorner

Gary Lynn Dorner of Humble, Texas, passed away Jan. 28, 2023, at the age of 68.

He was a graduate of Sulphur Bluff High School cCass of 1972 and formerly lived in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Gary was a member of the Baptist faith and a retiree of Dow Chemical Company, Freeport, Texas.

An avid fan of sports and music, Gary spent his free time playing and watching sports or listening to music. He was an active member of the Columbia High School Band Boosters for several years and a member of the Columbia Lakes Country Club where he golfed and played tennis every chance he got. He was also a member of many bowling leagues throughout his lifetime, therefore acquiring many, many friends. Survivors include his wife, Tewana McMahan Dorner, a former resident of Sulphur Springs, Texas; daughter Cyndi, and granddaughter Rebecca Mc-Fadyen of Kingwood, Texas; daughter,Vonda Dorner and grandchildren, JD Dorner, LJ and Evalyn Mc-Gaha of Idaho Falls, Idaho; parents Billy Joe and Sherry Dorner of Dike, Texas; and stepbrother Rodney Josey of Tira, Texas.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Sue and Jim Goin.

A celebration of Life will be held ain Sulphur Bluff, Texas ,at a later date.
