Nellis Air Force Base instructed to send aircraft toward a suspected Chinese spy balloon moving across the country on Friday.

A senior defense official says NORAD sent two F-22 Raptor aircraft from Nellis and an airborne early warning aircraft.

They would not say whether they would use one of the aircraft to shoot the balloon out of the sky.

The Pentagon estimates it will likely be over the U.S. for several days.
