Boise Planning and Zoning approved an application in April that would convert Arbor Village at Hillcrest - a senior living facility into a multi-family apartment building.
The facility houses up to 100 residents, many disabled or on Medicaid.
"I have no money. When you're on Medicaid, you have no money left," said Annie Baird, a resident at Arbor Village.
Baird has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease for 22 years and found the senior living facility when she needed extra help.
"I was having times where I would fall or episodes where I didn't know quite what to do with, and I talked with my family, and we all felt that this was the best answer," Baird said
For almost a year Arbor Village has been Baird's place of comfort.
"This is my home, and I have everything in it that I had in my house, so I feel very comfortable here," she said.
But now, her beloved home may soon be gone.
"As far as just being here, that's exactly what I wanted. Then to have that yanked out from underneath me, it was not a good feeling," Baird said.
In October, Boise City Council decided to put the proposal on pause after an appeal was filed for failure to provide notice to residents.
Now the zoning rewrite will head to Planning and Zoning on February 13.
"They're scared, and I'm scared because I have some options that I could use, but it's not what I want, and I was told I could live here for the rest of my life," Baird said.
